Sin City PC¶

The Beginning¶
Sin City PC opened in Las Vegas around 2001, at a time when custom-built PCs were still a craft and most people didn't know how to get online. What started as a one-man operation building and repairing computers grew into the go-to tech resource for Las Vegas gamers, small businesses, and anyone who needed technology to work.
Services¶
Over its 19-year run, Sin City PC offered:
- Custom PC builds -- Gaming rigs, workstations, and everyday machines built to spec
- Hardware repair -- Component-level diagnostics and repair
- Software services -- OS installations, virus removal, data recovery
- IT consulting -- Network setup, business infrastructure, ongoing support
- Web development -- Custom websites and online presence for local businesses
The Split (2008)¶
By 2008, the gaming community around the shop had grown large enough to need its own space. I spun off 8wire LAN as a dedicated gaming center -- a separate brand focused on LAN gaming, tournaments, and eSports events.
Sin City PC continued to focus on computer service, repair, custom builds, and IT consulting. The two businesses ran simultaneously, serving different but overlapping communities.
The Move (2020)¶
In 2020, I moved to Northern Virginia to further my career in the transit industry. Sin City PC officially closed its doors after 19 years, marking the end of an era for local tech enthusiasts and the gamers who grew up around the shop.
The skills and instincts from nearly two decades of hands-on tech work didn't retire though. They became the foundation for Elitebench -- the self-hosted platform that carries forward the same ethos: build it right, make it work, make it last.
